I have seen that also. But so far it did not happen.
If there is a good sale on a Mavic Pro, I will not let that go.
Very nice bird.
But it seems logic that they release a better version now that the 'cheaper' brother looks better to the untrained eye.

if You don't need it to be under 500g then I would wait.
mavic2 should be same weight as MP/plat =around 700...  so still 2 much 4 me  = really considering geting one
