Not even flying, just playing around with the app in my house, the temperature of the battery went to almost 47 degrees celsius. Therefore, I decided to turn it off just in case. Is that a normal operating temperature for the battery even without take off?

I live in Thailand by the way. So, yes, it is hot here anyway

They only warning I get in the UK is the battery is too cold, below 15C!
I would guess too hot will generate a similar warning!

Ideal operation temperatures of LiPo batteries is between 20° and 60° Celsius.

When you turn the craft on without flying it the battery will actually get hotter this because the props are not running which would blow air down and cools the craft and battery.
