Does anyone know why Course Lock has not been included as one of the flight modes for Mavic Air?  
Might it have to do with the obstacle avoidance feature?. In other words if the aircraft is rotating while on a straight-line flight path, obstacle avoidance would not be as functional. I would be fine if OA was disabled as Course Lock was one of my favorite past features.

That's a shame. But maybe we'll get it with further updates!

I was going to upgrade from Spark to Mavic Air mainly because of WayPoints feature but now I have to reconsider my plans. Could any of moderators confirm if engineers are going to add this functionality in future by software updates or it's not currently in their plans ?

My understanding is that it may be supported by 3rd party apps like Litchi, but will not be included in DJI GO4.

Mavic Pro also has:
Follow me, portrait mode, dynamic home point, x2 digital zoom.

Hi, the course lock is so important  for easy filming with the mavic air. All cheap drones like Hubsan have the headless mode

Have you tried Tap Fly in 'Free Mode'?

I think the course lock is for me (easy filming) the most imortant flight mode!!!
