I have a Phantom 2 with a totally dead gimbal I have tried updating the firmware with no luck it just hangs there. But now when I go to start up the Phantom it automatically goes to full power without touch the controller. UGHHHHH the thing is brand new with maybe 6 flights and no crashes.
Hey Sorry for not getting back to you guys. The gimbal is toast and so was the Drone. I ordered it from a large company in canada and when it shipped it came already together. I thought this was extremely weird so I called them and sure enough they sent me a demo by an accident. They then told me that the machine wouldn't power up for them so I gave it a try and it worked fine. I flew it on short little flights like 40ft in the air and everything seemed to work great until the gimbal stopped working all together. Then everything else started to act weird I think I just got a bad unit.
Hi Jason, please send us a video clip of the scenario you described at your earliest convenience so that we can have a check. Our email is support@dji.com.
Im sorry I don't have a video clip of it happening. Once this started I just shut it off and sent it back. It had to go back anyways because they sent me a demo instead of a new unit.
Just so you know, I did turn the Remote on before the until and I didn't have it outside.
I want to be 100% certain I can do this. I have p2v+ In naza mode everything is running on the latest firmware. Can I use waypoints with my iPhone and the p2v+ while it's in naza mode. I read that I could and when I tried it today everything went well until it was finished instead of landing it shot to almost 600ft straight up. I finally got control of it when I flicked the GPS switch. I have flown it about 30 times now but never with waypoints.
I only set 3 Way Points and the farthest being being 500ft away from me 180 Ft in the air. The first WP as directly above me 90ft and it flew to the first one 500ft away to 180 ft. It flew to the 2nd WP at 150ft and then when it was coming back home it hovered above me and flew to almost 600ft.
I never flown without at least 7Sats I usually get 9-10 in this area that I fly. I went out and tried it again and double checked my way points and on the way back it did it again. I took control of it before it could go past 200ft but it was on its way up again. Now the 3rd time I flew it I hit the go home switch while it was on its way back and it worked fine.
So I am just wondering if its ok to be even doing this while in Naza mode.
I never ever fly without doing my compass checks and at least 7 sats. I even pick it up and move and wait for it to get at least 7 sats again. and while its warming up I using go to the sat view so I can make sure the Home is where I am located.
Hi Jason, can you please tell us if this happened just once?
Please kindly help to share us what action have you taken pre/on/post-flight chronologically?
