Hi everyone!
I just took a few minutes to create 2 versions of some sample footage I shot the other day.

For reference, I'm using LumaFusion on an iPad Air 2 for my editing/uploading to YouTube.

The base video was created as 1080p at 60 fps and then pulled in 2 portions of one of my shots.

The second scene with the Spark flying at me from beside the car has been sped up to 125%.

Here are the 2 comparison videos.  I believe there's a little less stutter in the 60 fps video which seems to be more evident near the end as the Spark is flying over my head.  But then, I might be seeing things.

That is different indeed.
But I doubt if it is the 60fps interpolation.
Looks more like the framerate did not match up in the first video (skipped frames).

You're likely correct, Montfrooij.
Since the base (empty) video track was created at 60 fps and I imported the two  30 fps scenes into it.  The difference between the 2 videos is that I exported it first at 60 fps to YouTube. Then I changed the title screen and exported again to YouTube at 30 fps.

Ya definitely a noticeable difference. I should start doing this!

I'll need to play around some more with exporting to YouTube.  It may simply be a setting in the app I'm using that improves playback.
Will continue to experiment and report back here with what (if anything) I find out.
Please do share your videos if you find a technique that works well!

What editor are you using?

I see in the original post. Lumafusion.
Maybe it has difficulties with the way Spark (DJI) works with framerates.

Here's another clip (Dronie) that was imported into LumaFusion on the iPad Air 2 in the original 1080p/30 fps format.

I exported and uploaded the clip twice to YouTube.  Once as 1080p/30 fps and then again as 1080p/60 fps.

The 60 fps YouTube video *might* be a bit smoother, but it's hard to tell.  I wonder if YouTube is doing any additional smoothing on its end?  Could be that LumaFusion is doing something as well.
