Hello, I have bought a Crystalsky 7.85 Ultra bright and I want to know if it is possible to use it as HDMI monitor for other cameras? Did DJI do something to realise it?

Thx

No - currently DJI does not allow this. They proposed something like a dongle to use the CS as you wish.

Oh.. so, I also could suggest you to do not buy and test 4G Dongle USB Feature because this promised feature too is a fake =)

Hello, I m not sure to understand your request...

I just need to use the Crystasky as a HDMI monitor with DSLR or other camera. It will be so usefull to use it as an external screen (with a HDMI IN).

No you want HDMI in to use for another purpose. HDMI in is not required for the purpose DJI is selling it for.

Correct. BTW I was one of the very first CS users who suggested this "bonus" option several months ago on this forum.

Has DJI made it possible...perhaps with CS firmware updates...to use the monitor as a general purpose monitor...for example, with other dslr or mirrorless cameras!?  If not, do they plan to do so?!

I dont understand why people are still talking about this, I sold my Crystal sky, worst product I have bought in a long time. Really put me off DJI products in general actually. Haven't bought anything from them since then

There is no video in.  A complaint many of us made when they first came out.  I did not notice any update that said differently.  I would have liked to use the screen for outdoor monitoring of videography as well .  It would have increased it's value significantly. It does output video to any other device that uses HDMI.  You have a choice of clean video or copy screen (clean video or video with the drone info overlay)

I used the crystal sky 7.85 Ultra and it worked great, and at 2000 lumens it was totally clear and beautiful.  I had a few app crashes early on, but not after a couple updates of firmware.

A smart company would want to increase the value of a product to it's users making the price vs value tip towards them.

Loved it and will miss it unless the Smart Controller works with Occusync 3.0 and is bright enough at just 1,000 Lumens.  My 7.85 ultra CS was always bright and easy to see even with the sun high behind me striking the screen directly.  Updated my drone from Mavic Pro to DJI Air 2S and discovered it requires Android V 6 or higher (CS only up to 5.1.1 - which still runs Go4 fine.

True, but increases value to allow video in via the HDMI.  Most of my camcorders allow HDMI IN (to record) as well as the main use out to the TV or other capture device.  I would have loved to use it at outdoor video events.
