Hi guys,
my first time on this forum and I already need some help....  
I just bought my first Mavic PRO.  My frst drone ever...

I bougt a used one and I wanted to upgrade the firmware.
The previous owner never updated it...

So I'm facing a big problem.
The drone does not finalize the firmware update.
I tryed via controlle and it fails.
Then I tried via Assistant 2 and I see there are many Firmware updates available, starting from 01.03.1000.
After trying several times with no results I decided to bring the drone back to Factory Settings and now the Firmware Update starts from version 01.03.0550
The batteries are fully charged but the upgrade stuck at 20%, then the drone restart by himself, then the percentage stuck on 56% and after several minutes I allways get the sae error and the Assistant 2 loose the connection with the drone.
The error code is 0x020106.

Yes, a friend of mine has a Mac and he owns a Mavic Pro..

If you want to fly ... sign in with your account. If there is no mistake on the Mavic, that should work fine.

Oh!
Sorry, one more thing..
There are 4 firmware upgrades in the list when I open DJI Assistant.
Do I need to run them all from the first one or can I just go with the latest one?

If you reply to HIS message then he will check this forum post.
He will make some test software version available to only you in order to update this drone.
THis is needed because you will not be able to update from the old software.. also not with mac.
This is a known problem for some time already.

Also, the old software works fine, you can fly and record whatever you like.

It is not a problem, sometimes it is better to not update when everything is working fine. When you decide to update because of new features, first wait 1 or 2 weeks to see if no new problems rise.  For now just go out and fly!

If the firmware your on is working, don't bother to upgrade, you do not have to, especially if version you are on works!!

What should I do?
I tried also the last firmware update 01.04.0300 but I stil facing the same problem.
Can you please let me know what I have to do to get my Mavic Pro and my Remote Control up to date?

Hi Emanuele. I apologize for the delay in reply. Please check if you have v 01.03.813 in your DJI Assistant 2, this is a beta version to address the error message you are seeing. After updating, please press the record button on RC or App to make sure that the camera is taking a video, then upgrade to the latest firmware (in DJI Assistant 2)as the normal process.

I read in some other threads with FW update issues, similar to yours, that when they used the original USB cable the FW update suddenly worked.
I would try to use the original USB cable and if not available to use an other good quality USB calble

I'm really p####d off!
I still having my problem not solved!
I wrote first time on February the 6th! It means quite 3 weeks ago ad the problem (wich I read it's a well known problem) still not solved from DJI!
I even contacted the Customer Service and I guess they have done somethin because now I see on my Assistant 2 firmware BETA versions but it still not working!

No idea why but it just worked!
Same pc, same USB cable, same procedure.
Finally the drone accepted the 01.03.0813 firmware beta version upgrade and then the last 01.04.0300 automatically.
No idea what changed from last time. Apparently nothing, just this time somehow it worked.

Mac or Win?

If Win try running as admin.  Right Click the Assistant 2 SW icon, select run as admin

Hi TrentinoDOC did you try to upgrade with the phone using wifi? I never had this problem in this mode otherwise with Mac some problem.

I just received a mavic pro. i can bot get the firmware to update. i have tried both DJI Go 4 and assistant 2 for mavic. i do not have the beta software listed in this thread. My current software is v01.03.0400.
any help would be much appreciated.
