I want to know what tablet and goggles to get?  is the Nadia shield tablet still a good one? will have to roll back firmware to make it work?

I am thinking fat shark goggles BUT I don't need the top dollar ones so what model will work?

any other info would be great to!

I have no idea what goggles might work; I'll need much more experience driving my Mavic Pro Platinum before I'll feel comfortable using a control pad I can't see. But I do recommend the Amazon Fire HD 8 as a platform. It works great with the DJI Go 4 app, once you hack your tablet to let you get stuff from the Google Play store. But the rig DJI sells to hold tablets tethered to the controller doesn't open quite enough to insert this model, and in daylight, it's quite useless. I plan to redesign the whole setup to provide secure mounting and a decent sun shade; you might want to do the same and sell the idea. I'm retired and far too lazy to market and sell my inventions.

Ipad Mini 4 cellular. Why? Because of IOS and build in GPS. DJI GO 4 works better on this system and you can use one more application from DJI. I'm talking about DJI GS Pro, which is only for IOS.

also I would assume ipad mini don't have hdmi output hence why would need the dji goggles?

The MP is wireless

I also agree, iPad mini 4 Cellular with the DJI Goggles. I have a iPad Pro 10.5" Cellular and it is fantastic, but it is a heavy load for any long duration flight so I typically use my iPhone X.

Yeah, I always use my iPhone 7+ with my MPP.

does the mini ipad have a hdmi output?   does the mini ipad work right out of the box? meaning no rolling back firmware?

the reason why I want to know if mini has hdmi output is if I need to uses other goggles with it

All current iPhones and iPads can use the Apple Digital AV adapter (HDMI output adapter) so you can output HDMI signal and power the iPad or iPhone at the same time. So yes, it should work with other goggles with the adapter.

I use the Ipad mini 2 and goggles Re. Before that I used a cheap pair of vr goggles and an app called Mavic Fpv. Cost 5 buck but has some good features like head tracking.

No. Mavic is wireless. With the Mavic Fpv app you use what ever cable comes with your phone

I am looking for a way to uses the ipad mini 4 to hook up it up to a tv

but its sounds like you cant and have it hooked up to the controller at the same time
