Can you HDMI stream to a Laptop?

The User Manual states you can connect to a monitor. My understanding is that laptops only transmit HDMI, they not recieve HDMI so DJIs comment would be correct as they are saying to a MONITOR (tested and AOK there).

Hoping someone has a workaround on how to setup for field work to a laptop? Not worried about recording anything on the laptop, happy just for vision. Guess I could use an inverter or generator (getting overboard on the latter).

Yes you can but you would need to have an HDMI input.   Easy enough to get  and you'll find one that isn't expensive.   

Depending whether you're on PC or Mac will also be a factor.

Remember that the Inspire streams at 720P so anything above that is unnecessary.

any monitor with hdmi input works... ipads and tablets have hdmi inputs ...same price as what jimhare suggested above

The biggest issue with cheap HDMI monitors is they don't run on battery so you would be chained to power.
