No, I get where you are coming from. I just think that sUAS and UAS's are still somewhat 'new' in that dominant technologies still need to shake out a bit. So many firmware and software issues on the consumer recreational drone side that the paranoia is that could carry over to passenger drones. I'm sure it is unwarranted, but you know the saying, "Fear what you do not understand".
I've not made the transition into bow hunting just yet. I'm still a rifle/shotgun guy. What are you hunting with your bow and where, if you don't mind me asking?
Yes, but RC dtones must be much more complicated than real aircraft, aren't they? ;-)
I have a vote of confidence for them,, and believe we will see these things in every major city in North America, before the next decade ends.
Bowhunting, takes much more skill, patience, practice, scent control. Did I mention stealth?
Where I live Edmonton Alberta, our city is actually within a bowhunting zone. We can hunt right in the city limits. Most game requires permits, tags, licence. The usual bureaucracy, but our game is so well managed and our Hunter Training and Conservation very well run, it's all worth while to hunt fair chase, and legal. I can only tell you that deer and elk are plentiful here. But we have spring bear hunts, bison, cougar, wolves, coyotes, tons of small game which requires no licence. It's wild up here, you know...
You could hunt rabbits and squirrels all day... Ok. You get the picture.
Some big game is by draw... Have a look at this: http://www.albertaregulations.ca/huntingregs/gameregs.html
Gives you some ideas and thoughts about Edmonton Alberta.
When we started this group, back in the '70's, there were only a dozen or more of us...
