I tried to fly the Spark, but was told that I needed a firmware update on the battery, and it would not allow me to fly.  Do not have any idea where to go to get it.  Appreciate any help.

Usually battery firmware upgrades are accomplished through the DJI Assistant 2 application and the PC

Makes sure your battery is fully charged before doing this and that when you plug the AC into the PC via a usb cable that you turn it on.
If you follow the video process, it will flag up the battery firmware upgrade
