Two things - when you check the props, you should also check them for cracks, chips and warping. Second, you do not calibrate the compass everywhere you go. You only calibrate when it tells you to or if it's acting strange.

I also fully disagree with calibrating all each time. In most cases it will rather cause problems than help. And my pre-flight checklist is significantly longer with the really important things once AC is switched on and then again after take off before going into the mission.

I didnt use to calibrate everywhere I go until i had an incident in Iceland.
