Can't get my remote to connect to assistant 2. It does show as charging but nothing else. Plug everything with included cable and adapter and nothing. I've got device drivers needed for CDC ACM DATA and USB Serial Device in task manager.

there are two other threads on this isssue, including with screenshots from PC device manager showing details of the problem.
DJI seems to have quite ambiguous instructions on the firmware update instructions for the Air's RC; it doesn't officially say it can, or can't be updated via the Assistant2. And I was expecting DJI to have added the USB driver package to the DJI Assistant 1.2.2.827, but apparently NOT!

Mavic Air remote should be able to connect to Assistant 2. See DJI support video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XPmWvxeSp7E
Yes should be but obviously it is not able at all.
Hi Everyone. Thank you for your feedback. We have taken note of the issue for the Mavic Air remote and DJI Assistant 2, and have forwarded it to our Field Application Engineers. We will update you soon once we have feedback.

Hello, are there any news?
Im having the Air quite shortly and untill now I ignored the GO4 app messages about that I need to update the Remote FW. (It was enough for me to do updating the fw for my three bateries ).
Today I decided its time to obey the voice of DJI and exactly according the DJI instructions I connected the Remote to the Assistant 2 on my PC. Again waste time of trying and searching. Now I see that this is a bug known at DJI for very very long.
DJI Paladin shall I perfom that (users invented) workaround (downgrade the Assistant and upgrade back again to get the working USB driver to my PC) or does DJI have standard solution?
Thank you.

Simple fixes first: You must power on the remote controller before you connect to DJI assistant ;)You say that it is charging after connecting to any of the ports, this tells me that the controller is switched off.
@DJI: Instead of the fancy art work indicating that you just have to connect a USB cable, a few more instructions would really be a good idea...
