Hi

I wondering what you guys workflow is with the Mavric Air as Im finding it akward especially when you are offloading imagis and video regularly

This is what I sorta do with my gripes listed :
  • Remove the micro card - I find this a lot more awkward on the Air compared to the Spark. Youve sorta got to fight it out and im sure Im gonna end up snapping the cover off
  • Put it in the iMac and offload the pics.
  • Put card back in drone
  • Unfold legs and power up to reformat. Including controller
  • Power down and fold up

Ideally I want to format on the iMac after offloading pics. It saves powering everything back up which is a drain on the battery. OK you could do this before flying if you remember.
I take it to use the onboard connection to the iMac from drone means unfolding everything and powering up loosing more battery life.

You guys doing anything more slick ?

Can you use a USB cable instead of removing the card?
That is what I did with the MP

I think you can cable connect but I would imagine you have to unfold and power up.

I liked it better than removing the card.

Yes I know what you mean. Fighting that card in and out something is gonna break.
Maybe in future I might power up when I get home with depleted battery, transfer over cable to PC, reformat, power down and then recharge everything for next outing.

Yes, I think that might work.
Only hope the battery won't die on you while transferring.

I use tweezers to push it in and remove it. Makes things less fiddly.
