So I was playing with my M1 Gimbal the other night, now that I finally have it working, and I notice that under the timelapse modes it now lists hyperlapse in addition to the normal timelase mode and the motion timelapse.

Has this now been added to the regular Osmo Mobiles as well?

On a related note, what is the actual point of hyperlapse mode?  Isn’t it pretty much just regular timelapse mode with the ability to move the camera?  It seems like it would be easier to use a video recording then just speed it up in post production, that way you can use active track.

In hyperlapses the goal is to track the object while moving great distances at the same time.

Montfrooij is right, Tripod Mode has been canceled in the APP, Hyperlapse is the timelapse mode with tripod mode off, same function but different name.
