Mine sounds just like that. kind of a disappointment. My transmitter even makes noise. Makes it seem cheaper in my opinion, which is a shame.

Yes, they have all made an air noise.  I haven't opened up the section of the Phantom but I suspect it's a small fan unit to keep something cool; at least that is my guess until I take things apart.  The pre-production units have the same noise.
