Genettico,

Excuse my ignorance but how does it discharge ?

Is it because you are connecting external lights etc. and running the fan off the battery or is there something else in the box.

Thank you. It is very practical indeed. The idea is for those times when flying to discharge is not an option, or because you just simply do not want to just turn the I1 on and leave it on on the ground discharging passively.

You could take this on the field and have an "emergency box"  or added convenience box that allows you to charge mobile devices, while discharging batteries, it allows you to have lights, small tools and anything you can think that runs on DC current up to 26v or less to 0v, that does not consume so much amperage... You want to know what that specific device is consuming.... ? No problem... Just hook it up, and the ammeter will let you know. Also for home, if you happen to have la black out,  and need a emergency lamp, or to charge your phone to make a phone call or something else... Anyways.. You get the point.
It safely discharges up to the rate limited via internal fuse which at "full discharging Speed"  it would take double the  time it will take you to discharge the  I1 when flying or about 100% slower discharge rate so that it is very safe. I could make it faster, but I think this way it allows for a very nice and steady way and not have to worry about temperatures in the battery and the life of battery.

Correct... You plug devices and these create current draw from the battery. You can monitor how much you are drawing from it via the ammeter, and see current voltage as well. This way you can see how fast you are discharging at different loads. Also, and not  that it matters because I have the amperage restricted so I only draw about half the rated discharge capacity, but the fan kicks on as soon as you press the "start on/off" button. You can see on video it draws but .30amps and it is just as a over precaution to keep everything cool inside box.

Correct... You plug devices and it creates draw from the battery. You can monitor how much you are  ...

You can also use it to check battery voltage levels without even discharging it before flights on the field without having to turn on your bird or carrying a "voltmeter"

Hi Genettico.

Man I wish I had your brains. I live in the UK, so it will be very difficult for me to get one. I reckon I could self build if you can supply the necessary parts list and instructions etc.

You can send them to me at mike(at)muzzy(dot)world if you wouldn't mind.

Regards.
Mike.

Roughly the cost and also could you make it do more than one battery?

I'm not sure what you would pay for this if assembled... I think that what I would pay for it is actually cheaper than what I paid in materials alone, so not likely someone would pay my labor. Also, when looking at materials I was not looking for cheap nor expensive, or was thinking about selling them...  but that the part would do what I wanted,so maybe and if looked harder to save money,  I could have on different parts and such..  However, I will come up with the list of materials and post here in a bit and if I can get a bit of time I will post a diagram of the wiring... Thank you all.. For the comments... Just out of curiosity.. What would you pay for it and be ok with it?
