Elektrica I was so surprised when I received the package, package and all was light as a feather. I've done already 15 flights and am impressed with the quality and design plus the big plus of peace of mind. I highly recommend this to anyone with a Inspire 2.

Thanks BIGDZ, we've been promised parts for the next batch by Monday, then we will ship all the new pre-orders, which are almost sold out already.
Strangely the German company that makes these parts got the color wrong (This has happened 3 times times before!). We will contact a new company for the new kits to avoid silly and unnecessary delays.
They work very well, but that cannot seem to memorize the correct color, which is quite frustrating. Anyway, you will get the kit very soon and should enjoy the added stability, which quite frankly is as rewarding as the extra peace of mind. At first we thought it was just our 'Biased' impression, but we've got feedback that matches our feeling of stability. Probably the engine sync helps quite a bit.

As for the props, it seems that we cannot find the right material for the prototypes. We got 4 different propellers made, but none is stiff enough for flight. In order to test props with the right material, we would need to create molds, but the cost would probably not justify the investment, which would most likely exceed $10k in molds alone, if make with excellent quality. This would also not 100% guarantee the performance of the props which are supposed to be 13% more efficient, but that is based on a computer model (A very smart computer model, but still...).

Sorry to hear that you might not be producing the new style props. Costs for plastic injection molding can be huge. I wonder how they make so many different drone copies and counterfeits  in China?

The answer is mostly in the numbers. Unfortunately the I2 was made in smaller numbers, unlike the P4, Mavic, etc. We could go for Carbon Fiber props, as that would be the cheap solution, especially in Italy, where we know quite a few masters of the material in the automotive business,  but we truly fear that CF props are unfit for the Inspire2, too rigid IMHO. On top of that, we want an elegant solution and most of the CF props have sort of a patchy feel to them, especially the mount on the motor, but doing them properly would be messy.

In my experience, CP props are stiff and less forgiving as compared to composite plastics. Helicopters normally have a much faster cyclic response with very abrupt flight performance (fast). Drones tend to be the same, especially when you are flying a camera around and not familiar with the rigid control inputs. I feel it is a matter of adjusting yourself to the controls and perhaps changing the expo settings to help.

@fans6197024f There has not been any report of compass interference with several 100s of kits being used for several months now. The rod is Blued Aluminium 6061, which is magnetic neutral.
In short it does not influence the compass.By the way, we've also tested a series of patent pending shims for the propellers, which are plug & play (No screws, not invasive), which also cure the propeller rattling problem. We should launch them in the coming weeks. They finally allow the protracted use of DJI stock propellers and avoid the rattling over time, making the flight even safer and more stable.

Thanks Frank, you will certainly have much more peace of mind and you should also notice increased overall stability due to coupled motors, especially in stronger winds. Your DJI original props are also going to last much longer. Thanks again!

I find it funny that external companies now routinely retrofit DJI drones to make them "safe" instead of DJI working to do just that.
If the wheel of a car came off, it would be the manufacturer who recalls and addresses the problem for the sake of safety instead of random companies offering a "wheel detachment issue fix".
I guess what it takes is an  Inspire 2's motor to come off mid-flight, with the drone falling and killing a random child, maybe then they will get the message that they do have a responsibility to address safety issues.

Thanks my friend. I've been using it for a few months now and rattling has gone for good. Now the DJI stock props last a good 4X times or more. I have not changed them since approx. October and many flights.

Even the safety kit could not save this drone from being shot out of the sky. A user sent us these images, I think he won damages and now needs some replacement parts...

I live in California.  I can only imagine the devastation a shoot-down could cause through wildfire.  The shooter being responsible for millions in such a case.
