I just gor the Phantom 2 with the H3-3D gimbal.  I hear I need to plug the remote and the quad into the computer to load the latest software and calibrate.   Perhaps I don't know the lingo or something but I cannot figure out how to do that.  Also the gimbal wil adjust up and down when I run the gimbal lever but the camera won't go all the way down.  I am afraid to attempt a flight until I know for sure if I need to calibrate the system first.

Get the Assistant software and RC software.... obviously for your type of operating system,  windows or mac.

Read the instructions and follow them.

Its not as scary as you think....

The gimbal setting I believe is a safety setting and is changeable....  don't quote me as
I don't have the phantom 2 with h3-3d

you may have to download and install the DJI WIN Driver Installer if you have a windows PC  otherwise the Assistant software won't see your Phantom connected
