Hey all.  I will cross post this into the Mavic and Phantom forums that I frequent - don't see any option to post in all forums at once nor do I see a general forum.

Here where I live the city is looking for feedback regarding our parks and paths etc.  One topic is drone use in our parks.
Now, I know many people here don't live in nor care about this city - but, Canada is a world leader and what we do tends to influence (or at least be noticed by) many other countries.

Anyway, in voting yes, it can still have a positive affect and spread elswhere.  I would surely vote for your cities.

Thanks and happy flying!

Voted, yes they are fun. I also think pathways are too slow and would allow digging the holes to play golf.

Where is the “vote no for kids”. I find some kids in the parks to be noisier, more annoying, and invade my privacy a lot more than the occasional drone flying by.  Seriously though, we can’t go around banning everything just because one person complains and finds something to be annoying!!

lol ya 4chan is good for that.

age limits in the works.  wouldn't be surprised if it's 13yrs

"Fly your drone:
below 90 m above the ground
at least 30 m away from vehicles, vessels and the public (if your drone weighs over 250 g and up to 1 kg)
at least 75 m away from vehicles, vessels and the public (if your drone weighs over 1 kg and up to 35 kg)
at least 5.5 km away from aerodromes (any airport, seaplane base or area where aircraft take off and land)
at least 1.8 km away from heliports or aerodromes used by helicopters only
outside of controlled or restricted airspace
at least 9 km away from a natural hazard or disaster area
away from areas where its use could interfere with police or first responders
during the day and not in clouds
within your sight at all times
within 500 m of yourself
only if clearly marked with your name, address and telephone number"

We are proposing new regulations to address the safety needs, growing popularity and economic importance of drones. Proposed changes include:

new flight rules
aircraft marking and registration requirements
knowledge testing
minimum age limits
pilot permits for certain operations"
