We have got the OSMO Mobile extension rod ...how do we click pictures as there is no button and Selfie Rod takes the camera too far from the hand ;)

i have OSMO mobile so my question is still not answered...how do i click a pic if the button is not there on the base of the stick...is it only for difficult angles.

You can't.  You'll need to turn it on using the Osmo itself or directly on the mobile device.  After that, you'll need to aim it on your own at arm's length.  When finished, reverse the process.
