Hi All,

Have my Phantom 3 Standard and at present I am using my phone to operate, just wondering which is a better alternative?

iPad - What size, model? or
Android Tablet, size, model?

The phone is a 5.4 inch screen and I would a bit more real estate to play around with.

My Phantom 3 Pro' uses its dedicated device, my iPad Air2 Cellular.

It's been stellar without a mirmer. Not one problem in over two years. Completely trouble free.

Any thoughts about Ipad mini 3? Is it enough to have? Cause im using Ipad air and video flickers sometimes using GSpro. It's ok with Go4.

I was using an iPhone but changed to iPad Air 2 (non cellular) last year on my P3S.  The iPad works very well even out past 4000 feet.  It's great having enough room to leave the histogram up and still see everything that's going on...

I use an iPad mini 2 wifi only. No problems at all. I do wonder how people use a phone as I feel like even the iPad mini's screen is too small to really see what is going on.

I agree with the Nvidia shield too! Although they are not being manufactured anymore, but you can find them on Ebay, but pricey. They work amazing.

Ipad pro 10.5 inch . Has got a10x chip . Very good. No video lag

I'm also running an IPad Pro 10.5 cellular and it works great. Plenty of power to run smooth. I had also installed the tablet mount on the RC. Very happy with the setup.

Samsung may or may not work. The iPad Air 2 is almost guaranteed to work, why not buy a used one, that's what I did.

Android OS fails sometimes, Apple does not. I can get a used Mini 4 for $200, which is significantly more reliable than any Android tablet. It'll also have better resale value.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 3, and screen was to small (plus had issues with DJI Go app),
I did some research and asked on here, decided to put out for an iPad mini 4 128 gb and it is dedicated to my p3S.

...because the hardware and software come out of 1 house only and android powered devices has many houses of hard- and software and their versions and revisions. And most android systems are not optimized for DJI Go 3 and 4.

Well im looking at getting a galaxy s2 8" tomorrow am i better off getting the 9.7" instead?
Theres about $100 difference between the 2

I have iPad mini 4 and it seems great in all lighting conditions so far but not used it in the summer

I’m using IPad Pro 9.7’ ...
this fit very well on RC ...
have enough power and screen to use it all day ... and more
When is on RC with 100 % battery charge... it  never use RC power to recharge...
I used for 3 years on phantom 3 and phantom 4 pro ... never crashes or some problems ( maybe I’m lucky ☺️)
But for me .... it’s also very useful... because I’m usually on traveling for my job ...
and during this time , I like to use IPad Pro to edit my video...
my opinion.... the best app for edit it’s LumaFusion ...
there are a lot of professional functions... but maybe this is for other tread

I have good experiences with the iPad Mini 3 Cellular. This tablet now runs without any problems on iOS 11.2.x. The screen is bright and contrasting to work in sunny weather.

Thanks for the tip.
I use my old Samsung Note 10.1 with a stylus every day as a replacement for pencil and paper, and that works great for me.
Now it needs replacing, but a iPad Pro + stylus is about double what a Samsung S3 costs.
Plus the samsung Wifi has GPS and the iPad Pro Wifi does not have GPS, so you need to pay even more.

iPad Mini 4 cellular for me!
