Looks more like low cloud or mist to me but could easily pass as snow

Hmmm........its most certainly cloud or mist if you wish....
There were big storms on the Table lands over the range..
We live on the beaches down here,,,,
The weather event was something I thought would be cool to capture, and 'jokingly' saying 'snow in Cairns?'
Have a look where Cairns is in the world!!!

I know - I've been there when I lived in Australia for a year in 1998. It's definitely mist but my point is that it could be misperceived as snow

And that was my whole effort to put the mission together!!! Perception, cool video....
Paradise! Tropical, sunrise..... anyway....

To be clear it hasn't snowed in Cairns, Far North Queensland, Australia..since the Brontesauous was playing Basket ball

But, The video looks like SNOW IN CAIRNS!!!

All I can say is pretty much auto with a ND16.
The whole flight was supposed to be a Litchi mission!
I had the mission in the planning for ages, anyway, the weather gave us the cloud over the range, so I just launched it!
It went so wrong!
I had a tourist walk into the launch zone...
The flight was good until the AC went stupid and swapped waypoints?? (Didnt happen on the simulator!)
Then when (I think?) it looked into the rising sun, I had a total flip out!
I let it fly though, and obviously landed ok. (after my spotter moved the tourist again!)
I should maybe increase the luminance of the vid, but the thing is....that was the mood on the day, I think it was/is pretty cool.!

I have been going back looking at past videos posted on the forum. Yours was really nice.

Looking into the sun does not go well with the Mavic. Sensors hate it.  Once in RTH  the Mavic just stopped and flew higher then stopped again and up it went again . Had to cancel RTH and turn the drone around and fly home backwards. When the sun is bright. I now use a 16ND filter. Helps a lot.

Nice vid! I like Cairns, have an uncle and cousins there, was over there last September for one of my cousins weddings. Was up in Yungaburra - really beautiful place. I could easily live there, but the bugs and animals that can kill you kinda freak me out. Keen to see more of your vids!

Haha!! Its a common thought amongst foreigners that every thing will kill ya out here!!
Not so! This is Paradise here!
Yungaburra is a great spot! Lovely village, just too bloody cold up there for me!

Here ya go mate, one from last year! A bit long, some stuff should be cut out for general viewing, but it was a bit of a story of our trip....

Nah not too long at all - enjoyed it. First bit of music reminded me of Icehouse  

I guess you see the stories in the news of croc attacks and that kind of thing, whilst the millions of other people go about their business having no issues at all.
