Got the spark out to shoot the fireworks. Also the bridge was illuminated quite nicely, so got that one too. Overall was very pleased with the results!

Thanks! Actually wasn't that close, I started about 70meters from the explosion spot, but that was too close, constantly was going backwards and ended up at 300m for the ending shots.

Is it of fireworks or dark? I wasn't very confident myself because of the dark and the errors that I get most of the time, usually compass and gps related. But since i wasn't messing around that much and stayed of the sports mode all went well.

Thanks! I was using manual mode, lowest shutter speed 1/30 if remember correctly and ISO1600, with manual white balance, just to avoid flickering and wb shifting. Maybe auto would worked out good as well but wasn't so sure.
