Update:
I just spent three days going over my Litchi short mission (very short...5 min). I finally decided to chance it...OMG it flew smoother than ever could have flown it manually.
I was so nervous, I first read up on all the controls in the app, and then spent hours..days rechecking everything.I was so nervous I forgot to turn on the video or take a picture!!

Just awesome is all I can say! I was impressed with the Phantom...but now I am in love with my P3S!

Thanks Dirty Bird!

Great news!  Take it slow as you learn & soon you'll be going out miles.

So far I have been loving Litchi but I am wondering how to properly execute a one way long range mission. When I try to start a 4 mile one way mission I get an error saying the distance between adjacent waypoints is to far even though I have waypoints every 1500 ft. From what I have read online, the first and last waypoint have to be within 2000m of each other. This basically makes one way trips impossible because the drone needs to end up next to the starting point. Any suggestions? There isn't anything in the documentation about this from what I can see.

Beastmaster litchi is mutch better then go app it offers mutch more than just waypoin missions.and it has spoken altitude and heading and distance in almost any launguage.and its only take almost half the cpu power to run as go app does so its well worth the money

In the mission settings you must have the Finish action set to "Back to first waypoint".   For a one-way mission you'll probably want to change the Finish action to "Land".

Thanks for the advice, but that's unfortunately not the issue.
I'll provide some screenshots that detail the problem. Final action is set to land.

When I try and start the mission in the screenshot above, I get the following error.

It does this because the first point (1) and the last point (17) are not within 2000m of each other. The mission in the screenshot below runs with no problem (besides being to long for the battery). Notice how waypoint 1 and 22 are within 2000m.

Is this some sort of weird bug? Does android have this issue? I've checked all the waypoint and mission settings multiple times. I didn't change any settings between the two missions.

I have a one-way mission set up but never tried to run it.  Must be a bug as your are landing at the end.  Go on Facebook, join the Litchi App group, & message the developer.  He is extremely responsive.  Answered one of my inquiries on Christmas day!

I read in a few other threads that the 2000m distance limit is between two consecutive waypoints INCLUDING the first and last. But those were threads from like a year ago,

I'm looking forward to seeing your video!
I just mapped out my first mission, I haven't flown it yet.

There is some way you can share the mission file to study it (I could not try it anyway, unless the drone flies half a planet Ja Ja, but at least I would see how you developed it)

Drone lost connection very quickly. It was 11 minutes round trip and I only had connection for the first 30 seconds or so. Regained connection when it was back within 1000 ft

Yes all 4 aircraft were flying Litchi missions.  The two lead birds were P3 Pros & the two in the rear were P3 Advanced models.  We had full RC contact & FPV throughout the entire flight.

I know you can pause a mission & then resume.  You can also manually enter control input during a mission or while paused.  I have never tried to take photos during a mission as I always have the bird recording video whenever airborne but I would think it would be possible to manually snap a photo during a mission.  You can test my creating a short mission & testing.

Yo would have to have controller contact with the ac to pause and or stop mission, otherwise it will continue mission until it regains connection with controller.

Not at the same time.
You can select which one to use each time you fly.
I have an Android phone (use DJI Go app), and an iPad 4 mini (ios )  which is dedicated for Litchi flying.
I use the DJI for calibrations and FW updates.

I figured not at the same time, but I wasn’t clear . I didn’t want to get litchi and not be able to use dji go if I wanted to switch between the two.
I’m kinda new to flying drones and never flew it out of my sight. Would I benefit getting litchi?  Someday I hope to be able to send it farther than I can see
Thank all

Yes you can still use the DJI app. You can use either one, just don't have the other one running in the background.
Get use to flying it, do figure eights and flying away from you then toward where you are (at first it can be confusing). Then use the ATTI mode to know what to do in an emergency, without all the safeguards of GPS and sensors.
In GPS mode the Phantom has brakes, holds position and will just hover in place if you let go of the controls, in ATTI mode it won't do all those things.
After you have that mastered, then you can think about missions on Litchi, take it slow.
Good luck and fly safe!

I have accumulated a huge music library covering a range of genres, but I lean towards what might be described as "epic" or "cinematic" for my videos.  Search YouTube for "epic music" & you'll find lots of interesting tracks.  As long as you don't monetize your videos YouTube provides wide latitude in using copyrighted songs in your videos.

Unfortunately you can't sync Litchi flights with your DJI account.  You can sync them with AirData.  I have repeatedly requested DJI add an option to the Assistant software to include the option for syncing an aircraft's internal flight records to the user's flight records.  The aircraft is storing flight data internally for all flights regardless of the app used.  So far no luck...

I hear its good, HOWEVER violates the DJI warranty if you have a crash.

????

Litchi is developed using the DJi SDK in full compliance with its conditions ... so why do you claim that ?

Yes, you would have to switch from Position mode to F-mode very quickly so that you don't stay in ATTI mode long enough for the craft to start drifting in the wind.   I keep my unit in F-Mode permanently to avoid being in ATTI mode for any reason.  Last Saturday, we had 22mph gusts here in Jamaica, and I was hovering over a football game.  I tried ATTI mode for a few seconds, and almost lost the unit.  ATTI is a fun equivalent of Sport mode when you just want to dart around from one place to the next (provided sufficient obstacle clearance).

I've heard about fly aways that make me nervous.  I'm nervous about using it because it's not supported by DJI.  If your drone crashes while using the app I don't know if DJI will cover it under warranty if the cause would otherwise be covered.

Litchi is a great flight app to have in your tool bag.  I can't promise you'll never have an app crash, nor is it a 100% replacement for Go as it does not include every single aircraft setting, but it is a robust product with good value & performance.  My favorite part of Litchi is Waypoint Mode which allows you to program the bird to fly missions autonomously even beyond RC range.  If you become proficient with waypoints you can achieve things not currently possible with manual flight.

Yeah that's what makes me nervous about using it.  That said I do have the app on my iPad mini.  I'm itching to try it though.  Maybe when my warranty expires or maybe I'll buy a sacrificial drone for cheap on eBay.

Thank you very much.  With Litchi you program missions on your device or computer.  No RC contact is required beyond uploading & launching a mission.  The bird executes the flight plan autonomously. It's a very cool & handy app.

So is the mission uploaded to the drone?
