Since I got my drones, I don't understand why does Dji keep going with their dji go app. I mean, they clearly can put all the fonctionnality of the osmo on the dji go 4 app. Why do they want user to have a second app to be able to use their Osmo and their drone?

Not sure either, there must be a fundamental reason we don't know about.

Don't know why but I'm glad they are separate. I would prefer the apps be as streamlined as possible and not have unneeded bloat from unused products. I'd be upset it my drone became unreliable because of an Osmo fix.
