OK, if anyone can assist.....
1) Is it possible to order from DJI, specifically a CE compliant P4P remote controller? I see nowhere to specify which type when ordering.

and 2) is a rant.... Controller price in US$ = $319.
Controller price in GBP is £319.
£1 = $1.38  So, here in the UK, I would be paying $440 for the same controller

Regarding the ce, fcc they are the same controller, it's the gps that stipulate weather to use ce or fcc, depending on the country you are in when switching on the controller

No because it's the same controller and it adjusts output to match your location.

Aha, OK understood.

So, is there a way to check for sure which one is correct for Thailand? I am guessing FCC, but I want to run in lower power CE. Is there a controller mod available to achieve this?
Edit: Also, is there a way to find out what the P4P Aircraft transmitter power is on a P4P? It's not listed in the specs like for the Mavic/Spark.

Many thanks.

In ce it's 0.09W
In fcc it's 0.4W

So, are all P4P’s the same and is the  transmission output power of the bird set and controlled by the FCC/CE version of the controller (which I understand is set by GPS and location)?
And Thailand ‘s location sets the controller to FCC or CE?

They are ALL the SAME . - Your locations when using it changes power setting to FCC or CE - used in Thailand would make it a FCC (full power) version - used in UK it would make it a CE reduced power version

Using fcc is not the full power the controller is capable off, it can handle 1.5W. (but monitor the rules of your country, so you don't break any rules)

LOL don't be surprised with the price in different currencies, take the Mavic Air for example: USD $ 799, while in EUR it's € 849.

1 EUR = 1.23 USD, so not only are you paying more, you're paying more twice! - one because of the number, and two because euros are more expensive than dollars...

As far as I know, Thailand takes CE in 2.4GHz and FCC in 5.8GHz for reference. Also, due to the warranty is not international, it is recommended to purchase from local authorized dealers: https://www.dji.com/where-to-buy

Thanks DJI Susan, that's interesting.

On the Thai Drone Registration form, we have to state the transmitter power (EIRP) at:
1) 2.400 - 2.483 GHz
2) 5.725 - 5.825 GHz

It would be helpful to me and many others if you could you please give the 2 OFFICIAL powers (dBm) at which the transmitter operates in THAILAND at EACH of the 2 frequencies. Something that can be quoted to the authorities.

If what you say is correct, even though the controller is stamped FCC, the equipment is operating WITHIN the allowed power range (of up to 20dBm in the 2.400 - 2.483 GHz range). Clarification of that would be HUGE!

Thanks Eric,
I've worked out that the controller GPS location sets the transmitter power.
Now I want to know DEFINITIVELY what the controller defaults to in Thailand.
