Hi Admin.
I am buying a second-hand drone here in Ireland. Great condition, little used and flown by a commercial drone pilot. My concern is that he may have bought it from DJI in the US. He has DJI care and the serial number checks out but what I need to know is if I have a problem with it is it covered by warranty if bought in the US but being used in Ireland? I myself bought a replacement battery for my spark in the US and when I got home it had the 2 solid middle lights. Best buy refused to take it back and DJI effectively told me to sod off! Don't want to have that issue again. Thanks for any guidance.
Hi there, I am sorry for your difficulties with your battery. May I know if the battery is still at your side with 2 solid middle lights? This means that the battery upgrades failed and you need to upgrade the battery again. To fix this issue, upgrade the battery firmware again. Please remove the battery and try to charge it for about 2 hours, and then mount the battery to the aircraft, connect your drone to the computer and try to upgrade it via DJI Assistant 2 again.
For your first question, if the drone was purchased from the US, the warranty is provided by the US repair center. If the warranty is to apply, the drone needs to be sent back to the US repair center. Customers can obtain cross-regional repair service at an additional charge. You can provide me with the drone's serial number, I'll check the DJI Care Refresh info for you as well. Thank you for your understanding. |
