I am so dissapointed with mavic air.. The pictures that i took iso 100 and automatic mode incredibly noisy why . Spark was much better .

Are these pictures from the SD card/internal memory or downloaded with GO4 on your mobile device? And have you done any post processing?

No processing directly from internal memory (8gb)

For some reason I cannot open the pictures when I download them from here. I have sent you a PM with my email address. If you send me one of them I can check what could be done.

Ok, I quickly did some simple post processing improving the grades and noise on three of the pictures you have sent me. I am not an expert in this and others could do much more. But here is what I got:

Yes, the JPGs in less light are noisy, even with the iso at 100. From the RAWs you can get a good result though.

Yes, but you know what you are doing.
Army of noobs ignorant in both, flying and photography, are complaining about their lack of skill and knowledge basically.
I do blame DJI partially for this, as their marketing creates delussion you need to know nothing to be able to get decent results.

Yep, your pictures are quite grainy. Maybe because of the low luminosity.

Can you show us pictures on a sunny day?

What sd card are you using?

This picture is taken by spark. Smiliar condition with up photos. There isnt any noise . Not any processing

I don't see too much difference with the pics you posted previously, made with MA.

Main difference is that there is more contrast in the pictures made with Spark, but only because there are some subject (the coast line and the hills on the right). Don't make photos with no visible subject, there are photografically useless.

Can sharpness in Mavic AIr settings can be reduced?

one rule - compare photos taken is same day/place/time. not apples with oranges
from my shots - MA got problems with overexposured places (loses detail there) - all shots were taken on auto and in jpg.
I like auto colors/settings from spark more, also photos were IMO slighty better from it. But a 4K/3axis is way better for vids.. so did switch to dark (or air) side ;)

I feel like I'm having the same issue, can someone please offer some advice?  I'm a novice so it could just be my lack of experience.  My images look much softer than they did on the Spark even after I try processing them. When I try to sharpen the image it just adds noise. I've manage a few photos that I am happy with but in general my MA seems out of focus. Here are some examples.

There is A LOT of compression and processing in this picture. Maybe not by you ;) With the Air the processing in the Air is MUCH less. You can get the same smooth result post processing the RAW's yourself.

It would be nice to have a bit of control of how much processing is done in the Air though.
EDIT: Get me a RAW photo of your Air and i will see if i can match the result of your Spark to prove it is just processing

Yes i can... So jpeg pictures is trash at Mavic Air . You cant use anywhere this bad jpeg pictures.

In my experience, lowering the contrast introduces some noise, as this is done in post.
(increasing the shadows a bit, lowering the highlights a bit).
Not sure how it is with the MA, but you might want to check with various profile settings or if it solves your issue, but it might be worth a try.

Strange.
I am curious what DJI has to say.

On the MP and MPP, a sharpness setting of +1 turns of noise reduction , maybe the MA needs to have the same

if you rise the sharpness    it begins noiser and noiser

In low light, you just have to shoot raw and post process to get the best results
