Heya.  Thats a cool video.  Im new to the whole drone thing and only just bought my Spark so this might be a silly question for you!

Your video, with the grainy jumpy imaging that looks like the phone screen while in flight.... that is direct from your phone?
the lovely fluid image with nothing else on the screen... that is from the SD card?

I downgraded my software for my android to 4.1.15 and tried the OTG cable...  it didn't work for me.

Hi. It's more than likely that your phone auto-updated the app. Be sure to turn auto update off and try again. OTG does work with 4.1.15

You don't need to go into airplane mode, but it is recommended to turn off wifi and bluetooth. If you do not, your phone may automatically connect to the remote and disable the OTG connection.

What about cellular data? Does that radio interfere also? Presumably it does because you can cache the maps in advance....

Yes, the DJI Go 4 App. image is from my phone and the cleaner image only was from the Spark, I simply just edited them together.

Cellular data isn't necessarily required to be disabled, as far as I am concerned. My belief on why people turn it off is for a safety precaution, because you don't want any distractions mid-flight, such as calls or notifications.

I recommend the OTG cable because it improves the quality of the entire flight through the GO 4 app. But it is up to you to not use the cable. It is only at most $10...

But I connect my ipad via OTG to my controller.  But I leave WIFI on and when I check the WIFI it shows the controller wifi.

But if I don't use WIFI, my controller never connects to DJIGo and gives me a green light.

So, you say I SHOULD shut off WIFI and SHOULD get a green light if I am connected with OTG?  Maybe my cable isn't good.

switch off (or better delete) the sparks wifi from device.
Switch RC on, wait till led not blinking but stays constant red
OTG cable IN the device and after in the RC
Start Spark

Hello guys,

I'm new in this area, I've got a new Spark, and in Romania where I'm from , the signal get lost quite often ... , and I want to downgrade to dji go4 4.1.15 so I can use the OTG cable. I already uninstall the current version.
please help me to find the right version of dji go4 4.1.15, and how to install it.
I have a Sony Xperia Z3, and Xiaomi Mi A1, both on Android.

Yes, you are correct (For the most part). The green light only shows that the controller is connected to the DRONE, not the phone/tablet. The green light will always appear after a while, until the drone is done starting up.
If you connect your phone/tablet to the controller via OTG, wifi is not necessary because you are already performing all of the functions that wifi would do for you. If you have both wifi and OTG connected, you are doing two of the same job.

Im still usig djigo4 v. 4.1.14. and otg works with android Sony Z3 Compact.

It worked today on my phone ;-)
(Sorry, quality is not so good. Used only phone for the little planet.)

I have a pair of Epson Moverio glasses currently running DJI GO 4,  4.2.8. I would like to use 4.1.15 to get the OTG feature back. I am running 4.1.15 on all my phone when I use it as the monitor without any problems.  My question is; what features am I giving up if I roll back the moverioglasses to 4.1.15?
