Whats the range you got on your Air in CE areas.?

To be quiet ownest, it really depends. I was in South Africa the last weeks and my Air was never more than 500 meters away. Sometimes it was no problem at all, sometimes I got dropouts after just a couple of hundred meters. I also don't understand, why the app switches to CE when I´m in SA, since they accept the FCC regulations. I also never found an option to change the Wifi channel from 2.4 to 5 GHz, is that even possible?

Didn't the app prompt you to switch your WLAn settings? And to my understanding if you clicked on cancel you would have stayed in FCC configuration?
South Africa is a CE area...

My best range with CE mode was 1.6Km, 2.4GHz. It really depends on the area! If i try to fly near home, i would probably get way less range than that

I'm not into such long fly sessions anyway and it was more like a test of the new toy


To @DJREM, if you check the connection menu, you will see an Auto or Custom option. You can use that to unlock the ability to change channel.
