Hi can someone help re the use of the Phantom vision plus for aerial mapping. The pix4d app is good but I work in remote area no internet and need to fly at heights greater than 50 metres. Can someone assist with the advise on ground  control software etc

Sorry, I haven't had much luck with the Pix4d.  Originally I wasn't aware the Phantom 2 Vision + camera actually has the capability to encode the GPS coordinates in each still image and the Pix4Dmapper can use this data to create it's maps.  I thought "HOW KOOL!"

I tried a couple of flights taking overlapping photos of an area so I can try it out but even with 8-10 satellites the GPS data is not changing with each photo little off -- still trying to crack the code on that one.  It also has a feature where you can designate manual GCPs (Ground Control Points) so you can tell it where there is a common point in the images but I just haven't figured out how to control all the "bells, whistles and flashing lights" just yet.
