Crashed my Mavic Air today at an altitude of about 167 meters high. The drone was flying in tapfly mode at night. Lost image signal for a few seconds then when the picture came back it was too late.

Don’t fly your drone in tapfly mode at night.

I think not flying it in manned airspace would be a better message...

Sorry to hear this, flying tapfly at night no sensors accident waiting to happen, what did you hit?

I was shooting a video for an online campaign. I had permissions and all.

It got stuck at the building’s signage at around the 24thbfloor.

No clue. Didn’t retrieve it yet. It’s still stuck there . The building’s owner told me that he’ll call the maintenance guy to operate the winch/crane and retrieve it for me.

I don’t think that there is anything wrong with the signage of the building. I just hope it doesn’t dislodge and hurt someone by then.

167 meters is way too high most places in the world - including where I live. But there are places where it is legal to fly at night... for example in my country as long as the drone is equipped with light so that I can clearly see what is front and rear, and as long as the starting and landing area is adequately lit.

Yes it's true. However, I cannot imagine the great thing about flying at night, yes - maybe if there is fireworks you can record.

Agreed. I wasnt even implying the legal/illegal question about the flight....flying at night, that high has some serious risks involved.

Indeed. I was trying to shoot an ad for our offices. The footage is really cool before the crash tho.

Hope they don't charge you a fee to retrieve it.

Have you got the drone back now? If you haven't, you don't need to send a repair request but a consult case. The support will help to start the case if you contacted them. Thank you.

Got it back today, it seems fine, a bit wobbly tho, it could be just me, is there a way where i can send my drone diagnostics results? I mean is there a place to check the drone and all the sensors? The drone seems fine and all, a bit shakey why hovering. Not the shaking issue previously reported, doesnt feel as sturdy as before.

Take a picture and post it the people on this forum have a way of seeing things that the owner of the drone misses.
