Was just curious since I recently got my mavic and put a skin on it. Does anyone actually put the registration number on the drone when registering with the FAA? I know when completing the process, they want you to put a sticker on the drone with the number. Just curious thanks everyone

Yea. If you're going to follow the law and register with the FAA, you better put your sticker or your registration is kinda useless. You should also put your name on the sticker and your phone number as well.

I purchased some letter decals and I was going to maybe put it in one of the arms of the drone. Would that be good enough?

A lot of people have put them inside the battery compartment.

I haven't seen your decals but they're probably good enough. IIRC, some people just put some kind of sticky note over the LED light in the back of the drone or simply on top of the battery.

Lots of us do.  There are several sources of nice printed stickers, some metalic I believe.

Just place in the battery compartment like Brad said in post #4.

The FAA requires the registration number to be  on your drone and allow it to be in a location that can be easily accessed.

Since the battery can be easily removed they allow it to installed there.

How about showing a photo of your skinned Mavic?

I used a label maker and put the label with reg number under the battery.

Looks like maybe Decalgirl.com  
I got mine there for my pro couple of months ago and was very easy to apply.  I just looked and they carry a lot of designs for the MA also now.
