I just went to download the latest aircraft firmware from the Dji website, but on the bin file name, it says P3S ... I'm wondering if this is correct or not because the one for the Phantom 3 Pro says P3X, and after trying to download that firmware for the Advanced, my Phantom is now giving a loud consistent beeping and says it requires a camera update.

Is it possible that this is the file for the Phantom 3 Standard instead of the Advanced? I will link a full video and explination of the issue later on, so if you think you have a fix to this, please check back later to see my more recent post.

Thanks, unfortunately that is the same bin file name as what I previously downloaded. Here is what I am seeing
I will go ahead and give it another go and see what happens.

currently have it powered on with it (hopefully) updating. it is still making the loud continuous beeping, but the gimbal is also making a repeating D-D-D-D sound for now, with a blinking green and red LED on the front

Going by you OP and the screenshot of your download it looks like you downloaded P3S_FW_V01.11.0020.bin, and not P3A that I linked you to.

That is exactly what I clicked on, and when I opened the zip folder, it says P3S not P3A

This is what I downloaded. I am wondering if it is a mistake on Dji's part that somehow linked the Phantom 3 standards firmware into the folder to the Phantom 3 Advanced.

Maybe DJI has made a mistake with these files?

Being as though the Standard doesn't list a firmware version later than 1.09.20 I would have to say you downloaded the correct version.

File starting with P3S_FW......... is correct for P3A. When you look at it you assume it to be for the standard, but it is not.
File for the P3P should be P3X_FW........
It is not a mistake on DJI, but don't know why they named them like this.

Well, they I emailed them the day that I made this post, and they actually replied pretty quickly and informed me that it is indeed the correct file... just seems a bit odd that it looks like it would be for the Phantom 3 standard.

"You mention regarding the .bin file in our website for Phantom 3 Advance, actually the one that we have posted in the website and what you downloaded is correct so please use what we do have in the website.The bin file for Phantom 3 Advance is P3S_FW_RESULT_AB.txt."
