I've flown it twice now. It's amazingly stable indoors, haven't tried it outside yet. I've never flown without physical joysticks before and using the ones in the app takes some getting use to. Overall, it's fun to fly.
I feel the same. I've posted elsewhere that it really needs a standalone charger, more batteries and some software to run the game controller...all of which they say is in the works. Unfortunately I can't get either of the controllers to link up to the app. I've got an android phone which flies it fine. It's been in the air several times but with one battery it's a short flight coupled with an hour+ charge time. The Tello is very stable but the virtual joysticks are not very user friendly, especially in a light breeze. I'll also add that it's built pretty tough. On the down side there seems to be quite a bit of video lag...enough that using a headset might be an issue. Not sure if it's an android thing. |
