Tello Ryze is out and for some reason everybody is posting it in the Spark forum and no one is spreading the love over to the Mavic forum. I can't for the life of me figure it out.

I ordered one but order doesn't show up and item still shows as unpaid in my cart.
Funny, I got an email confirmation plus an email from Paypal showing the payment.
DJI chat says they show the order and it may take 24 hrs to show up in my orders.

Just ordered one with the game vice controller.  Extra batteries were out of stock. I can’t wait to try it out.

Just got an email from DJI saying Tello can now be ordered. Just did it. Says 15 to 20 days after payment confirmation. I’m in the UK!

Good choice, in Europe is cheaper to order by Amazon than by Dji.

First review on Amazon is someone that wanted the Mavic but settled on the Tello. Is this for real???

Ordered mine Tuesday 3/6 and it arrived today. From China to Virginia, USA in 2 days.

I have to say I am kinda jelous right now!! ;) Do you think DJI will offer Combo-deals like for the Mavic or the Spark? Or even a Case or something like that?
Btw. can I use an GameVice-controller for an Ipad Mini also with an Iphone? Because than it would make more sense to buy one straight for an Ipad

I don’t know about a combo coming out but I would like 3 extra batteries but they are out of stock currently.  Also, the only way to charge the batteries right now is while they are in the drone so you can only charge 1 at a time and obviously  you can’t charge them while flying. Hopefully a gang charger will be out soon. I do not know if the  Gamevice controller for the iPad mini will work with the iPhone. I use my old iPhone 7 as a dedicated device now and the Gamevice works flawlessly.

I took it for a very short flight around my bedroom. I have been flying micro and nano helis indoors for a long time. While the Tello is more stable than a CP Heli it is not nearly as stable as a Spark or a Mavic Air.  Be very careful on your initial flights until you get used to it. More later.

I received my Tello this afternoon. Have an iPhone. Controller that DJI has for the iPhone is 79.00. That's a lot of money when the drone is 99.00. It was 5PM here in Phoenix and in my living room with a multitude of lights on I still received ambient light warnings. Very difficult to control in the beginning. I thought it would be fun to fly when I got home from work but the ambient light warning is going to be an issue. I have flown my Mavic Air inside without all the warnings and it's a lot more stable. Is the Tello a keeper...I am  definitely thinking of sending it back.

I'm surprised at the interest in it.

Im thinking of buying one and if the Gamevice works a PS4 should connect through blue tooth too it also right?

And yes before someone jumps in I am joking

I got mine, getting about 11 minutes flight time, sure be glad when batteries and a charging hub are available. In the meantime, it's amazingly stable and fun to fly.

Care to elaborate? It’s meant to be a fun drone, amongst the toy line up. I mean you can get a yuneec breeze fro a little more but the Tello looks like more fun.

Because it's the same as the $30-40 drones with a better camera. That being said, the footage and photos from this remind me of my iPhone 3Gs camera, so that's not saying much. By the time you get this with a controller, you could have a much better drone. This is a gimmick toy that you buy, realize it's not at all useful, and you wasted $100 on it. I'd rather just buy one of the cheapo $30-40 ones and play with it until I get bored. Or, spend the $50 more on a Breeze and get a better drone.

Ah ok that makes sense. I was thinking of getting the Tello and then grabbing a 10$  WiFi extender that I could power with an external power bank(mophie cell charger). Some folks are getting 50-70 meter range doing similar stuff.  But the yuneec breeze has better features but is also know for fly aways and hand gestures not working etc...
