In case you use an older Go4 Version, 4.1.15, it will work
And because with OTG you can switch in CE-Europe to 2.4 GHz between RC and AC, you may get a longer range

No, that "image transmission signal too weak" is the feature for android user of the wifi connected newest (mavic air include) DJI Go4 Apps.
It keeps telling you this, even when the videostream is superb!

Try OTG with 4.1.15, ignore the : "we recommend" in here

The answer is no, but with the footnote that the OTG -when it worked- didn't increase flight range.  It improved (improves) the reliability of the connection between the controller and the monitor (phone/tablet/ipad).  WiFi interference on certain busy channels "can" cause disconnects and a cable connection eliminates this problem.  FWIW, a number of more learned posters have commented to this effect elsewhere.

Good grief. How many times are we going to have to keep repeating that OTG works just fine in .15? How about passing on to your engineers to update the apps to fully support OTG. I'm tired of hearing "connect via wifi" when wifi gives us a terrible signal. I would rather start seeing you commenting on how your team is working to integrate OTG on the next app update.

Our engineers are still working on this, sorry for keeping you waiting. We'll release on our website as soon as it is ready.
