Hi,
I´am a professional cameraman for german television.
Since the last 15 years I was busy with many underwater movies.
Now I´m going from underwater to the sky, and I must say, that
the new Vision 2 plus was surprising me.
Easy to handle, stable in the air and with 1080/ 30 p, the result (quality) is
good enough for german television.

Here the first two test flights over the sky´s in germany:

2. German lake and fly over a windmile at 120 mtr

today I visit the biggest Photo and Video exhibition in the world.
Photokina in Cologne.
DJI Germany was present and a few other manfacturer of video copters.
My dream camera now  is the Panasonic GH4.
DJI can support a gimabl with the unit S900.
But then the total weight is more than 7 kg, but in germany it is not allowed to fly over 5 kg.

Then i found one manucacturer who is able to support a Drohne under 5 kg. together with the GH4 or Black Magic Pocket Camera

But then they told me the total cost... it is 26.000 Euro (34.000 US).
So I will stay for my DJI Phantom for the next months...

Wow! Yeah, for my business needs the Vision+ is suiting me just fine so far. Of course my next step is a better camera and maybe on an octo. But I'm happy for now!

Hi Jörg,

You chose a beautiful scenery - I love castles, so thanks for sharing. I thought that a TV production company like WDR would rely on (like you mentioned above) expensive equiptment like a octacopter with a dslr. Nice to hear that my equiptment is good enough (technically) for that too.

I guess you want to stay below 5kg (German law on keeping it non-commersial) but if your're using it for commersial purposes anyway, don't you need a "Aufstiegslizenz" for your phantom anyway?
