Hi Guys
Late answer to this thread, but I have six official DJI batteries (i.e.: purchased through an authorised dealer in the UK) and when I updated to the latest 3.6 Assistant Firmware it updated one of my batteries.
I have since inserted each of the other batteries in order to update them, but was not able to do so.
All of my batteries are New (i.e.: they have square data contacts - the two metal plates below the charging ports on the battery - whereas the old ones have circular contacts), they all show loader 1.5.0.0 and firmware 2.0.0.0 but will not update, even if I click the No Updates link next to the battery update to manually check for an update.
According to a post from DJI in another thread, it appears the 2.6.0.0 battery firmware has been removed by DJI.
Reading between the lines, it appears this is because the 2.6 update would 'brick' (i.e. make useless) any third party batteries, but was also 'bricking' some official DJI batteries as well.
DJI will no doubt address this with a future firmware update soon. In the meantime, just continue to use your 2.0.0.0 batts.
To be fair, I'm not so sure I want the features in 2.6.0.0. (especially auto discharge of the batteries).
But, that said, if I haven't used the Phantom for more than 10 days then something is obviously wrong.
In the meantime I have one battery updated to version 2.6.0.0.
Does anybody know if there is a way to downgrade this back to 2.0.0.0 or should I not bother ?
Cheers
Gregg.
