I'll personally prefer to keep the same batteries as I have invested in them
Better camera for sure, but fixed focus might be not the best idea?
Longer flight time and range thru lighter body and optimized props and engines sound good but If possible

Sune will see - might be a new color, fancy name, and higher price

Hope you are wrong about the sensor size.

Yup, if it doesn't have a camera as good or better than the P4P it's a no buy for me as I have a P4P to meet that camera quality. Everything else is just bling from the MP & MPP. I can see new entry level customer demand but for seasoned customers with P4's why spend the money.

If you don't live in the EU: yes.
But the rules for >900gr drones are probably going to be more strict in the EU.
So that would be a nice selling point.
But I agree, if they are really working in a 1"MP2 that would be great.

Although a slight upgrade with 100MB/s bitrate would also be nice if you aks me. Depending on the price.

Most of the rumors predict a 1" CMOS camera / 100 mbs write speed, an improved gimbal and virtually all the sensors and features of the MA. Now that would get my attention.

So far I have seen 2 stories.
Both can be true, but I tend to believe the smaller sensor more.
Even though I would love a 1"of course.

This is what I found, we shall see:

UPDATED RUMORED SPECS OF THE MAVIC PRO II
The official name will be Mavic Pro II instead of Mavic Pro 2
It will be substantially larger than the current Mavic Pro
4820 mAh battery capacity and 15.2 V power (compared with 3830 mAh and 11.4 V for the current Mavic Pro).
Different battery design than the current Mavic Pro
Upgraded propulsion with larger motors (slightly smaller than current Phantom 4)
33-minute flight time. Maybe longer (current Mavic Pro has 27-minute and Platinum 30-minute flight time).
1″ CMOS sensor (current Mavic Pro has 1/2.3” CMOS sensor) with 28mm lens.
Newly designed 3-axis gimbal.
Infrared 3D sensing to avoid obstacles even in the dark
Binocular rear vision obstacle avoidance sensors.
Same design of remote control as old Mavic Pro but drastically improved
Will use OcuSync.
Video transmission frequency is unknown.
Improved agility and precision.
Expected to outperform current Phantom 4 Pro.
Beta testing of the Mavic Pro II ended late January.
Mass production has started already (early Feb) and will not be impacted by Chines New Year.
Launch date possibly March 22nd but could be later.
The Mavic Pro 2 will be controlled with the DJI GO 4 app just like the current Mavic Pro.
Expected price point: $1299 USD or more. The FlyMore combo will be more expensive.

I'll pass if it doesn't have a 1" sensor.
BTW the original MP was announced less than 18 months ago, not 2 years. The P4 was released 2 years ago and still no P5...

If it doesn't come with a saddle and reins I will be disappointed.
