Although I took a lot of video at the river before and after the train, after viewing it all, it is a lot of the same just different altitudes and angles and some other stuff. But still the same 300 yds. of river. So the opening was chosen not because it is the best or the lowest or even the coolest (in my opinion), but because of the birds that fly right at the camera and veer off.
Over the rapids I wanted it to seem like 'is he going to go even lower?' but somehow the middle step is lost to my thumb I think. Ultimately I was about 18 inches over the water. Just like with the train, I could not see what I was filming and was relying 100% on FPV. I had picked out the rock on my review of the area as a landmark and knew I had to shift to camera left at that point. Just wish I had shifted a bit more.
Anyway, the video is short - 1:30 I think. Nothing fancy with edits or anything. The camera does everything I think. YouTube of course butchers it. It is crystal clear on my system, but at HD 720 on YT a lot of the low stuff seems blurred. At least when I previewed it. Sorry. Maybe it will look right to you.
I am too. I have a lot of videos where I have to touch my pad to see if it has ended or I am hovering somewhere (which I do a lot when making on the spot flight plans). I do enjoy this quad immensely.
All I heard was the ambient noise - no quad. I had to make an effort to see Dozbot in the sky. One reason I rely on GS flight around here - I need to know it works. But in this location I heard the traffic noise (will post video of traffic soon) and ambient sounds...birds, cars, train, water over rocks,
Excellent video Chris! I loved all of it. Good flying too. It appears that we were up to the same thing today. I'm hoping my short video containing five minutes of my day will be up in about an hour. Thanks for sharing yours!
