It has GPS and a compass, so it is perfectly suited for flying the Phantom. It will be a little slower than some of the new tablet, but it still runs a quad-core 1.5GHz with 2GB RAM so it is not far behind. Because it's only WiFi, keep in mind that while on a network you should open the app (you will need to turn on USB debugging if it is not already ## go to settings > about device and tap "build number" a bunch of times to enable developer mode, then in dev options turn on USB debugging) and you will want to pull up the map of where you are going to fly. Switch to satellite view and zoom in as close as it will go and swipe around to get the whole area that you need in the best resolution possible. Turn off WiFi when out flying so that it doesn't disrupt the controller's 2.4GHz band, and you are good to go! |
