There is also more to this field than meets the eye - it is where a battle of the War of the Roses was fought in 1451. I like flying there as the whole area is reserved for model aircraft too

That's a lovely shot Andy, I love long shadows for drama and wow the sun came out to say hello as well. All we need now is for the wind to go on holiday for a while.

Thanks mate. The wind does need to go for sure - getting a little bit of drag but I find the motors hold up more turning off OA.

Looking good, looks quite autumnal. Up here we still have snow drifts filling some lanes (where it was piled up) and still in corners of fields so not looking so picturesque right now.

Hoping to get up Helvellyn on Sunday as there appears to be a weather window with not a lot of wind (that, literally, never happens!). Conditions on Striding Edge yesterday looked amazing from the Felltop Assessors report.

The seasons here are shot to bits for sure. It looked like Siberia when I flew last Saturday and a beautiful Spring day with not a drop of snow to be seen by Monday. The temperature rose from -6c to +11c in a few days!
