In the past days I wanted to try and shoot some hyperlapse with active track.
Active tracking sure makes the hyperlapse footage look much better, although I have to work on my walking (slow slow slow, super steady).
So I did some extra stabilization in post to get rid of some of the up-down walking motion.



The last shot was my favorite when I suddenly thought about testing a super slow walk.
It must have looked funny

Very cool, the panning works really well. You just needed a few more moving objects in the shots to give it that tripped out hyperlapse feel. Good one

Nice idea.  When you walked past the point of interest did you have to turn and walk backwards or does the Osmo turn, keeping you out of the shot?

But I also will try with holding it a bit to my side while walking forwards.

I thought that's what you had to do.  It did look seamless though, you did it very well.  

I have ordered the Osmo 2 but it did not ship yet.  Looking forward to trying this technique.

It is not very difficult, but very tiresome.
But it does take a lot of concentration to walk as steady as possible (not too much / up down movement).
And I must say I did apply a little stabilization in post to overcome this up / down shake that was still in the footage.
