I took a few panos yesterday, and after stitching them together I noticed some wierd bands that were darker and lighter.  After checking the image properties, I can see that the shutter speed changed from shot to shot, even though I thought I had the AE lock on.  Is that overridden during pano shots, and you always have to set to manual?

I have made and posted a number of 360 panos and never lock the exposure.  My shots have come out uniform.  I thought it reuses the exposure of the first image so where you start is important.

That is interesting.
Thanks
I was gonna say 'yes' (but have never tried one from the air)
