Here's some footage I captured this weekend of Lakemont Park, Altoona PA.  Park is now closed, but it is the home of America's oldest roller coaster, Leap The Dips, which was built in 1899.  Enjoy!

Is this park just closed for the winter, or permanently?  Since it's a landmark, it cannot be taken down.   That'd be an interesting dilemma for local politicians if the park is permanently closed.

It's kind of in a state of flux.  It opened in the summers up until 2017.  That year they announced that they were remodeling and would open in 2018.  Now they are saying they aren't going to open in 2018, but will open next year in a scaled back fashion.  Several people have their doubts.

They still hold a big winter lights show.  That's their big money maker I think.

Thank you, what a nice video. Wonder if it would be possible to find out what all of your camera settings were,and did you have any filters on at the time? The colors are great, I have had a lot of trouble trying to get nice videos like this. Not able to get the results that you have shown. If this is a commercial operation and don't wish to share the settings, I truly understand and thank you for your consideration.

Hi, I was using an ND Filter (One Step).  It was actually my first time using a filter and I was surprised that the sky colors came out as well as they did.  I'm still not clear on when I should and shouldn't use a filter though.
