DJI Osmo Mobile Yellow Flashing Light and Gimble stopped working

I have a DJI Osmo Mobile that has been working fine for the last year, but about a month ago it all of a sudden it does not work correctly

Symptoms

Turn on and it flashes green for a little while
The phone moves into a horizontal position
All camera controls work (video and photo)
The light then starts flashing yellow and I can't move the phone with the joystick

I have tried putting black over the sensor
I have tried wiping the sensor with a cloth
I have tried turning phone detection off (I'm using android)

Taken from the manual:
Blinking yellow : the gimbal is not functioning normally.

So that helps....

What if you don't start up DJI Go?
And just power up the gimbal.
Does it do the same?

Sorry to know you are experiencing difficulties, just  to verify, can the mobile phone be balanced properly before you power on? What mobile device are you using? Have you tried another one? Besides, what is your current Osmo Mobile firmware version? Is it up to date? Thanks for your input in advance.
