I noticed in the manual and when using quickshots the video setting always reverts to 30 fps. why is this and is it possible to change this in the future, i would love some quickshots at 60 or 120 fps

My guess is the encoder that outputs the quickshot video does so at 1080p@30fps. To keep processing time down my guess is it captures at 1080p@30fps so the compressor doesn't have to re-compress the final output. It just edits the required footage together.

yes but you can capture a 2.7 or 4k but just at 30fps, i just hoped there was a way to save a quickshot on SD card with a higher fps

All quickshots are captured at 1080p@30fps. Says so in the manual. If it was to export the quickshot at a higher resolution or higher framerate that might be dramatically increase processing time and required processing power. As the app has to cover many devices of different configurations im guessing that outputting at 1080p@30fps is something every device will be capable of processing.

the movie saved to the phone is indeed 1080/30

however the one on my SD is 4k for sure, i also tried it with 2.7k , you can check this yourself. so i want a way to save the one on SD in a higher fps.the one on my phone doesnt matter

I think the Spark just saves normal video to the SD and sends 720p with the speed ramping to the phone/tablet. I know that the Mavic Air saves processed quick shots to the SD card for asteroid at least and I suspect it saves the others the same way. I don't think how quick shots are saved is consistent between all drone models.  To get around the issue of being able to process the quick shot, it could be delayed to after the flight is over, similar to how panoramas are handled on the Spark, assuming that it would be necessary to do this to make things work.

why do i have to post the originals? you have a mavic air yourself so its pretty easy to check.

i am looking at the file property's of a rocket quickshot on SD and it really states "resolution 3840 x 2160"

mayby to clarify, i am looking at the one from SD so not the sped up 10 sec clip but the raw footage that is 26 sec long. it really stores in the relution it was set  EXCEPT the fps change tot 30

I wasn't doubting you, i just wanted to see for myself because I cant fly here atm, weather has been shocking. I just re-read the manual for the Air to check and yes, quickshots are captured at the resolution set but at 30fps. The asteroid quickshot however, is captured at 1080p@30fps.
