Hello All,

I recentley purchased a Mavic Air and have been flying it with a friend who has the DJI Spark.

Im a little concerned as the speed from the Mavic Air is so slow compared to the spark even when in sports mode. I've only recorded a top speed of 20.1mph.

Has anyone else had this ? Should i send the unit back?

Have you taken out of beginners mode? Have you enabled all flight modes in your App ?

Yes it is no longer in beginner mode and i have 'Multiple Flight Modes' enabled. Is there something else i am missing?

Sounds like the motors are faulty

Obstacle Avoidance limits the speed, but flicking to Sport mode you should definitely get to 40mph.

You've not been into the controller stick sensitivity settings and messed with those?

with what wind contentions are you flying?

It was a little windy (not sure if i can find out exactly how, does it show on the app?).

I was flying at the same time as a friend with his spark and he had recorded speed of 30mph and it was fast!

Not changed any settings. Its all on default settings. Is there something i should look out for ?

I would try deleting app and reinstalling also make sure firmware is up to date on both RC and aircraft.

isn't the Spark a superior drone?
have you read the manual, must be some settings missing or something?

Very strange, please keep us updated as to what the problem was if you get it resolved without having to send it back.

That's weird it is so slow -- in Sport, mine seems much "sportier" than my MPP.

Hi there, please try to calibrate the IMU and test again, or try to refresh the latest firmware. If the issue persists, please export the flight data via the DJI Assistant 2, upload to Dropbox and provide me with the link. Thank you.
